How does Gender Affect the Teaching Profession?

The fights that women have put up to even get our teachers where they are now is mind blowing to think about, but state gender still does have a huge impact on the teaching profession today. We indeed have made a lot of progress, but still somehow receive the negative comments about women being in the teaching field. Teaching our students about the equality that should be shown throughout this whole experience is so important because they are our future generation and if we want to break the cycle of this injustice, not only is it going to start with us but also our future students. 

Gender had a major impact on the education system back then as we had read in this weeks modules. Something that I stand by and hope to teach my students is that at the end of the day we are all equal. We are all just skin and bones. We are humans. It should not matter what differences you have because those difference are what make you your own person. Rather you are a boy or a girl it should not affect the way you go about your life and what you want your future to be. Our society has developed so much to the point where many things today are approved that would have not been approved back then and that is what I find so beautiful about our generations. We are learning and growing and this is coming from being taught by the right people. It was not because we were specifically taught by a male or female, but because we were taught by someone who actually cared for us.
